Hello!
Welcome to my blog :)

Today I'm writing about the Soph Does Nails Extra Spice palette, and I will also have a link to my YouTube video showing a look I created using this :)

The palette itself is really nice looking, especially for its cheap price point of £10. It has a mirror, and all the shade names, and the outside packaging is rose gold and reflective.

As for the shades themselves, they are very pigmented, especially the shimmers, which you would expect from Revolution Beauty as their shimmers are often the best in their palettes.

Top Row
Shades bottom to top: Everyday, Running Late, Infinity, Cheesecake, Cookie Dough, Dreams

Middle Row
Bottom to top: Vitamin C, Sweet N Sour, Twenty One, Romance, Enchanted, Lakes

Bottom Row
Bottom to top: Brownies, Chocolate Orange, Mulled Wine, LA Sun, Aurora, Reputation

Overall, I think this palette is a really good buy, and goes hand in hand with the first palette to create a lot of diverse looks.

Let me know if you end up buying this!

Hello and welcome to my new post!

I have always struggled with dry skin on my face and I've never really found anything that works for me... until now. I had heard some great things about vitamin E working miracles for people, and I really wanted to give it a go. I originally took a look at The Body Shop's range but I couldn't justify the prices if it didn't work out for me!
But one day while shopping, I came across Superdrug's own range, which had much more affordable prices! I picked up a bunch of different things that I thought would be good, and now I have been using them for just over a month I thought I could write about my experience using them!

First up is the Dual Phase Cleansing Oil which retails for £2.99. I use this to remove my makeup and it works wonders! The formula does seperate, but it's nothing a good shake can't fix. I apply it to my face with a cotton pad (50p a pack from Primark!) and it takes off all the makeup I have on my face. The only problem I have is that it can leave my face feeling quite greasy, so I do go over with a clean cotton pad once I'm done to remove any excess oil.

I then use the Hydrating Mist as a toner, and this is also £2.99. It is so easy to use as you literally just spray it on your face and you're done! I also like to use it before I apply my makeup as it makes my skin feel really hydrated and ready for makeup.

Before any other cream, I go in with the Moisture Boost Facial Serum, which is £3.99. I use 3 pumps and apply it to my face until it feels tacky. I have never used a serum before, but in combination with the other products, I have definitely noticed a difference in my skins appearance. It looks brighter and definitely feels softer.

My eyes have always been a massive problem, as they often attract dry patches and I've always had dark circles underneath. While there is probably never going to be a miracle worker for the dark circles, the Nourishing Eye Cream (£2.99) has definitely helped with the dry patches. I have tried a few eye creams before that seem to work for a while but then stop working for some reason, but this one seems good so far, but I am waiting to see if the same thing happens.

For the day time, I use the Intense Moisture Cream which is £2.99. The formula is very thick, which makes me feel like it's going to do the job haha. I use this once the serum has had chance to soak in and once this has been used my skin feels super soft and ready for all the makeup!

Then I use the Nourishing Night Cream (£2.99) overnight after I have taken my makeup off. This leaves my face feeling amazing in a morning, as before I used to wake up with horrible dry patches all over my face, whereas now there are next to none. However, I do need to get into a routine of using this every night as sometimes I am just too lazy haha.

Once or twice a week, I will use the Gentle Oatmeal Exfoliator. (I couldn't find this on their website, so instead I have linked the exfoliator they DO have which may be different. This one retails for £2.99)
While I am not a HUGE fan of Oatmeal (Lush's Oatifix makes my skin worse), this definitely does help on the worse days to srub away the flaky skin. I don't use it every day as my skin is quite sensitive and I don't want to cause any irritation or redness. This is a newer purchase after trying out the other items, but so far it seems good!

I hope this post was helpful for anyone thinking about trying any Vitamin E skincare, especially if you're looking for cheaper products! Let me know what your favourite skincare product is down below!

Hey there!

Today I have a little review of the Huda Beauty Mauve Obsessions palette. I was originally going to get the Electric Obsessions palette, but because I had already bought the Nyx Ultimate Brights, I thought it would be a bit silly to have 2 palettes of bright colours. The Mauve Obsessions palette seemed my next best bet as the colours are right down my street!
The palettes retail for £25, and you can buy them from Cult Beauty here, or from the Huda Beauty website here.

The palette itself is smaller than my hand! The packaging is a slick black, and features the shadows and the brand name on the front. Inside, there is a mirror, which is impressive as some big palettes don't even have that!

There are 9 shadows all together, 6 matte and 3 shimmer. The entire weight of the palette is 67g, although the pan sizes are the same as the larger Huda Beauty eyeshadow palettes.

Although this palette is smaller than my hand, it sure does pack some serious pigmentation. Above is all the shades swatched row by row, l-r. Even the palest shade swatches like a dream, and I often find shades like that don't show up very well usually. The mattes are very buttery, and are easy to build up on the eye. The shimmers are best applied with a finger, and I find that a base, such as the Nyx Glitter Glue, helps them go a lot further.

Overall, I think while the price tag of this palette may seem a little steep for the actual size of it, it is actually well worth the money. The fact that you don't lose the pan size compared to the regular palette is a bonus, and seeing as the regular ones are around the £56 mark, I think a palette like this for £25 is a good way to step into Huda Beauty (which is what I did) as a tester to see if you would like to purchase more from the brand. The shadows work really well on the eye, and I find myself reaching for the palette more than I expected! I would definitely recommend picking this, or one of the other Obsessions palettes, if you are in the market for one.

Thank you so much from reading, and I will see you next time!

Hello!

And welcome back to my blog. It has been a while hasn't it? While I doubt many people actually care where I have been, I thought I would do a little update. I want to get back into blogging again, maybe not as regularly as before, but I feel that in order to do that, I need a bit of a "bridge" post, if you like, as the last time I posted was March!

So, what have I been up to? Well, mainly uni. I recently finished my first year of my photography degree, and boy has it been stressful. But I have made some amazing friends, and I (somehow) passed it, so all seems to be well. I am nervous to go back for my second year, as I know it will be amped up even more, but I am looking forward to seeing where it takes me.

Another thing I have been doing is working. I have 2 jobs, and I am trying to earn as much money as possible, as I am trying to live, run a car and motorbike, save up to move out and save for a holiday! Which, yes, is a lot. So I am working as much as possible, in the hope of actually having enough money to keep afloat, I seem to be doing okay so far, haha.

I have also just been chilling out! When I did Blogmas, it really took its toll on me, and I felt completely out of ideas, and sometimes as though I rushed my posts and had really bad ideas but wrote about them anyway for the sake of having something to upload. So while I doubt I will be posting three times a week like I used to, this means I should (in theory) have much better, thought out posts - but we shall see. I want to keep posting makeup/beauty related things, but I keep wanting to expand more. Onto what? I don't know. But I sure am excited to see where it goes.

Hello!

Today I have another Lush haul! And there will probably be another one soon as well because the Easter range is out this week :D and seeing as I didn't get all of the Mother's Day range, I think I might pick up a couple of other things that I have since wanted to try since the launch.
Originally this was going to be just a Mother's Day haul (hence the initial photo) but then I got a few other things that I thought I would include too!

First of all is this HUMONGOUS bath bomb called Mother Earth. It's actually an enlarged version of the World Piece bath bomb which is sometimes on the kitchen. Just look at the size of it next to my hand! My grandad actually took a hacksaw to this and managed to get me 3 good chunks out of it for 3 baths! It smells really minty, I think I'm going to pair it with the Ladybird bubble bar from the Valentine's Day range as they have similar smells.

Next up is Ups-A-Daisy bath bomb. This has rosewood oil and rose absolute in it, although I don't quite smell that? Maybe it will smell better in the bath, but I definitely like the half and half colouring!

Next is Baa Bar. People have said this smells of Parma Violets but I can't smell it?? Which is disappointing because they are one of my favourite sweets :( I just smell lavender. While I think the design is cute, I doubt I'll get any more of these because if I want lavender bubbles I can just get A French Kiss bubble bar or use my Twilight shower gel.

This is Scrubee. And he is my favourite thing EVER. This little body butter bar has fast become one of my holy grails - I have 3 already. It smells of honey, of course, and has just the right mix of exfoliation and conditioning that I was looking for. If only Lush would make this a regular line...

Yummy Mummy shower cream has also become one of my holy grails! I hadn't used this before this year, but I now have 3 bottles of it... I love it so much! It smells of strawberries, and is my favourite clour, what's not to love?! It has joined the heights of Happy Hippy and Snow Fairy as one of my favourite shower gels/creams.

Next is Pink Custard shower jelly. I accidentally ordered a bigger size of this than I intended, and have since sold it as I didn't like the smell that much, and I don't use jelly's all to often either. Some have said it smells of Twilight, but all I got was plastic... definitely a miss for me!

From the kitchen I also got this Lemon Melt shower gel, which I have also sold. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE the smell of this, it reminds me of lemon curd, but I knew I wouldn't use it that much as I like shower gels to be in a squeezy bottle not a pot, I think it would have just been too difficult to use.

Next I got my usual face scrub, Ocean Salt. This is so good at scrubbing away any dry, flaky skin on my face, but it doesn't dry my skin out! This is the second pot of it that I've had, I find it's great at getting off any scraps of foundation I may have missed the night before, and it's also amazing at scrubbing off any hair dye that I've accidentally got on my face!

I got on of my favourite face masks, Cup O'Coffee. This softly exfoliates my skin and I love how it feels once I've washed it off. I do love Rosy Cheeks as well, but that has to be kept in the fridge, unlike this coffee delight, so I often forget that I have a tub and it goes to waste :(

For dying my hair I got a tin of Ultrabalm. This is basically Lush's version of Vaseline, and is great for making a barrier on your skin to stop dye from staining it. You can also put it on any dry skin and lips. Doesn't smell great though...

On eBay (2 different sellers) I picked these up!
Firstly I got Twilight, Rose Jam and Yummy Mummy 100g bottles, as I was running out of the christmas shower gels and hadn't stocked up! And because Yummy Mummy... And then I got another bottle of Yummy Mummy and it's partner bath bomb, Roller.

The last few things I got were from the kitchen. I got 2 patches, one that says "Taking bout my regeneration" and one that says "Change the record" to put on my "Fighting animal testing" tote bag, and a "The hunts are still at it tshirt" to protest hunting!

I hope you enjoyed this post, I feel the need to mention that I didn't buy all of these in one go, but over a few times!

I'll see you in the next post!

Hello and welcome to m February Bullet Journal post!
If you didn't see my last post for January, then check it out here.
So for this month, I'm just going to run through what my spreads looked like, and also any additions I have made for the beginning of March!

So this week was the week that I realised keeping up with how many hours sleep I'd had and what I'd eaten was getting a bit difficult. I also thought that my notes section was getting a bit useless because I could just write it in the day sections...

... so I scrapped the sleep/meal tracker all together, and replaced the notes section with a quote section, where I will write a quote that is relevant to that week.

So as you can see here, I worked a lot alongside uni so I put in a quote about being tired.

I wanted to switch up my weekly thoughts page and have some kind of structure, but for this week I was too busy to keep up with that idea!

This is the spread for this current week, I'm happy with everything in it, and I have marked it with a pink tab to show it is a new month! How is it March already?

Here is a better idea of my thoughts page, I blurred it out because it's personal haha. But I'm writing the day, and a quick overview of the day and my feelings.

So because it is March, I have done another monthly overview, and it's my birthday this month!!! I turn 21!
On the next page, I have a 3 Day Rule page. This means that is I see something I like, I will write it in here with the date, and then 3 days later I will come back to it and if I still want it, I'll buy it, if not then I won't. I'll put a tick or a cross as to whether I bought it or not.
I haven't done a spending spread because I didn't us it in February AT ALL, kinda annoyed that I wasted a page haha!

My final 2 pages so far look like this. On the left I have chores for the month, so things I want to get tidies up in my room! And on the right I have a self care tracker for the month. While I have the weekly tracker of things I want to do, these are the things I feel I should do in order to look after myself. Rather thsn have a green/red system like my weekly tracker, I am just going to mark the box if I've done it, or leave it blank if I haven't.

I hope you enjoyed this post, I really like doing these and hopefully I'll stay on track and have one monthly for you!
See you Monday!
